“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 5/3). The foreground, like a ploughed field, waits to be used. It is full of energy and vitality, yet nothing stands proud. The yellow shape in the sky - a crown with a gatehouse - symbolises the promised kingdom.
