Nil by Mouth
Acrylic & Collage, 102 x 84cm including frame panel

An old man, seemingly stripped of his worth by illness and frailty, wears a halo that suggests his eternal value in the eyes of God. The man’s isolation from his fellow man can remind us that the difference between happiness and misery in old age is not so much to do with the state of one’s health, as the state of one’s relationships with others and whether you are loved.
