Between the Image & the Flame

Christ Church, Cambridge, February 2011

A show of 26 paintings and sculptures engaged the viewer with questions of faith in relation to contemporary life. The artwork explored issues of belief in God and concerns for justice and human dignity. The show was open to the public; there were many group visits during the week, especially by schools and there were several evening events for working adults to attend, including an invitation dinner. Paul Hobbs gave talks and led discussions about the work throughout.

Some comments:

- Inspirational. Incredible. A wonderful evening. A well thought through event.

- The children were really interested and captivated. (Primary School teacher)

- Very moving to see the works and to feel the depth of faith and humanity portrayed.
